Day Time Look
Let's start with the skirt, because that is obviously where we get the "Aztec" inspiration. I actually ordered this skirt last week and can't wait 'till I get it! I love the bold but simple print for springtime. The dip hem is also very trendy right now, always a plus. Honestly, I'm not a fan of these "mullet" hemmed skirts but this one has a great cut. I like pairing fun prints with simple pieces because that's my style. So, since almost everyone has a white tee I thought it would go perfectly. Onto the accessories. I like these earrings because they bring out two different parts in the skirt's print. One part is the yellow shade in the shapes and the second is the triangle shapes toward the bottom. I also added a fun knuckle-ring that brought out another color from the skirt; orange. Speaking of orange did you notice the shoes? Near the waistband of the skirt is a bright orange stripe that ties in the shoes. I thought it would be fun to use the shoes as a pop of color! Finally, this purse is an investment piece that could go with all kinds of day time looks. The tan color and leather material is a great neutral staple. The purse's hard wear is gold, which also compliments the colors in the look. Overall, you get the Aztec feel without slapping people in the face with it.
